About the instructor: A self-described “craft waiting to happen” Paula has been an artist and instructor in a variety of mediums from wood carving to painting throughout her entire life. Over 6 years ago she became intrigued with the concept ofsi lver clay and decided to give it a try. She was immediately addicted to metal clay art and within 2 months she earned her Rio Grande PMC Certification with Tim McCreight.  She began teaching others the “magic” of metal clay and never looked back. Paula’s enthusiasm, good humor and her passion for both metal clay and teaching make for the perfect combination of learning while having fun and have made her a student favorite wherever she teaches. Her work continues to evolve as she expands into new techniques and mixed mediums, and she is now working extensively with Bronz and copper metal clay.   Currently Paula can be found working on not one but 2 additional certifications and expanding her growing line of handcrafted charms, pendants and toggles.  In addition to being an instructor throughout the eastern United States,  she also co-owns One Sweet Bead with her daughter Stacey, a lampwork artist. Her blog, Bluejack Oak, is a great resource for all things metal clay.
